Our Services

THRA's SERVICES are operated out of our drop-in center and through street-based outreach serving people at risk of opioid overdose in the metropolitan Austin area. We provide sterile harm reduction supplies and naloxone to people who use drugs as well as direct linkage to medication-based treatment for opioid use disorders upon request.

Our outreach team is composed entirely of people with lived experience of opioid use disorders and recovery; each team member has years of experience successfully delivering person-centered harm reduction services alongside drug-using communities.

  • Texas Harm Reduction Alliance's Drop-In Center is home to our harm reduction services like safer use supplies, peer support, and linkage to medication-assisted treatment. It is also a safe-space for people who use drugs to find a non-judgmental community and care with access to showers, A/C, and heat for the day. Additionally, community partners use our space to provide legal aid, food, street medic care, HIV testing, and housing navigation.

  • Texas Harm Reduction Alliance's Street Outreach team meets people where they're at by taking our services on the go with mobile clinic and van. Our mobile clinic is equipped with two showers, a nurse's station for wound care, a kitchenette, and access to WiFi and outlets. Thanks to help from our community partners we are also able to offer HIV testing.

  • Our Incarceration and Re-entry Team works with currently incarcerated and recently released people on housing and resource navigation as well as harm reduction education to mitigate the risk of overdose, isolation, and recidivism.

  • THRA supports our community and partners across the state of Texas with opportunities to learn more about harm reduction. Our interactive trainings encourage a deeper understanding of what it means to practice harm reduction and support people who use drugs.

If you or your organization is interested in a training opportunity on harm reduction, overdose reversal, or a related topic, please email Gaby Libretti, Capacity Building Manager, or call 512-270-8325
