Where do you want us to go? If we can't go under the bridges, and we can't go into the woods, and if we can't go into the streets, then we can't go into the air, so where do we go?

— SURVEY RESPONDENT

“Also, reality check, homelessness is real. There are a lot of people wanting to do better with their situations. These sweeps have been a major setback more than once. After you experience it over and over, it becomes discouraging, and you develop an attitude of: what's the use, they're just stringing me along.”

“We are human, like they are. Just know: do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Our Services

THRA's SERVICES are operated out of our drop-in center and through street-based outreach serving people at risk of opioid overdose in the metropolitan Austin area.
